Barcode Numbers
If you need barcode numbers only (without the barcode images*), you can order them below. These come through in the EAN-13 format, but we can supply UPC format as well.
If you intend to list on Amazon, please see the latest information Here.
* Barcode images = the actual barcode picture scanned at the checkout (vertical black bars and spaces with the barcode number printed underneath). If you require these, you can purchase barcode packages (incl the images and a guarantee certificate) here.
Note: If you find out later that you need the barcode images as well, that’s fine – you can come back to us & order the barcode images when you need them (you can order the barcode images here). We will email the barcode images to you in several different formats (jpeg, pdf, tiff, BMP & eps), and you can then incorporate the barcode image into the design for your label or packaging.

This means that if the retailers only use barcodes for option 1, you can get away with having the same barcode for 2 product variations (i.e., different colors of the same product). However, if the retailer uses barcodes for option 2, then a different barcode will be required for each product variation.
In general, retailers prefer to stock products that will be straightforward to manage. Some retailers may prefer not to stock products if they have to manually count how many are left of each size and reorder accordingly. Therefore, it is recommended that you have a different barcode for each variation.
Selling in the USA = UPC-A
