Barcode Artwork Test
We have a new service where we can test your barcode artwork to determine whether it will scan well.
This is not an official Barcode Verification Report (which costs $59) as required by some Supermarket and Hardware chains. But it is a test using the same equipment and giving similar information.
This test will be done on your artwork – so you can have more confidence about the quality of the barcode before you go to print – or it will tell you what problems there are with the barcode artwork.
To do this test, please purchase the quantity you require ($20 each) and then email a pdf of the barcode artwork to us. The pdf must be A4 or smaller in size and 100%. We will print it on a laser printer in B&W (so it won’t test any other print colours) and test it, then email the report to you.
You can view some sample reports below. Grades vary from A (excellent) to C (OK) to D & below, which are fails.

Customised QR codes
Standard QR codes, although easily recognisable, can be an ugly part of product labelling or your design. We can make your QR code with colour and logos to better match your brand image.
If you have a good designer, they can modify the QR codes for you. However, this is often expensive, and sometimes they can inadvertently damage the actual QR code so that it won’t scan.
We have dedicated designers that can provide custom QR code designs for you.
This product includes;
- a static or dynamic QR code (see below for the difference between static and dynamic)
- QR code images design in 4 formats (SVG, eps, pdf and png)
In the comments box on the checkout page, tell us about your company’s brand and how you will be using the QR code. Let us know the colours you want. Please email us your logo as a png or jpeg file. Then our designers can create a custom QR code for you.
Any extra design time is $15 per hour.
This example shows the same QR code in original and customised versions.
There are limits to the changes we can make to a QR code, as the overriding aim is to maintain its ability to be scanned. We can introduce two colours (with gradients), add a custom logo to the centre and alter the QR code’s foreground elements.

Static and Dynamic Customised QR codes
STATIC QR Codes encode your URL directly in the QR code. They are permanent. Static QR codes will work as long as your website URL doesn’t change. They have unlimited scans. Static QR codes can also be used for things other than URLs, e.g. encoding text, v business cards, sending an email or SMS messages.
DYNAMIC QR Codes use our Dynamic QR Code service. This service enables the target URL to be changed repeatedly in the future if required.
Unlimited scans: Scans of the Dynamic QR Code are UNLIMITED so long as you don’t abuse the QR code with millions of scans that cause technical problems such as crashed servers.
Functions for life: The Dynamic QR Code, with its redirection capability, will function for two years and will continue to function after that for as long as you pay a $20 two-yearly fee.
FREE unlimited redirection of the target URL: You can redirect the target URL as often as you wish via our customer portal: https://portal.internationalbarcodes.net/.
Custom Tracking Reports: You can pay us for TRACKING REPORTS with prices depending on frequency, the complexity of reports, and how many QR Codes are being tracked. Please enquire for details.

ITF-14 Carton Code barcode image
Image for the outside of a carton containing a quantity of your retail product – based on your UPC or EAN retail barcode number. Artwork will be supplied in 4 different formats (.jpg, .pdf, .png, .svg).
Please enter your UPC or EAN barcode number into the additional information box when you get to the checkout page. We will use it to create your ITF-14 carton code images. If you are purchasing a UPC or EAN barcode at the same time as an ITF-14 barcode just type “n/a” in the additional information box – we will assign a UPC or EAN barcode number to you, and then use that to create your ITF-14 barcode images.
NOTE ITF-14 barcodes are for use on cartons for shipping, not for retail sale. If your carton is being sold at a retail level, you should use a UPC or EAN retail barcode on the carton.
