Pallet Barcodes
Pallet barcodes are used on the pallet packaging. Hence if you are not sending product by pallet you many not need pallet barcodes. In this case you may need an ITF-14 carton code instead.
Pallet barcodes are mainly required by larger retailers, particularly supermarkets or any other company using a large distribution centre such as McDonalds.
Pallet barcodes are normally needed as a pair of barcodes; a GS128 and an SSCC.
Sometimes you may just need a new SSCC for a new pallet code as you already have the GS128 barcode for that stock.
The GS128 barcode encodes multiple data such as expiry dates, batch number, quantity as well as EAN or UPC number for a product.
The SSCC barcode is a unique number. This is so each pallet can be identified by a retailer or distribution centre.

QR Code
This service is automated so that you will receive your QR code images in minutes. We need the URL or other information you wish encoded into the QR code to do this. Automation cannot make the QR code if you don’t supply it.
Decide how many QR codes you need, and add that quantity to your cart. Then at the checkout page, enter the data or URL you want to be encoded into the “additional information” box on the checkout page, with separate URLs on separate lines. Standard QR codes (Static and Dynamic) are made automatically and emailed to you within minutes. More complex QR codes, such as v-business cards, we make manually and take 1-12 hours. V business cards can only be made static.
The QR code images will be sent to you in 3 formats;png, svg and pdf.

STATIC QR Codes
- Encode your URL directly in the QR code
- Permanent; they will work as long as your website URL doesn’t change
- Can’t be changed, as the URL is encoded directly in the QR Code
- Unlimited scans
DYNAMIC QR Codes
- Use our Dynamic QR Code service, which enables the target URL to be changed repeatedly in the future if required
- Unlimited scans: Scans of the Dynamic QR Code are UNLIMITED so long as you don’t abuse the QR code with millions of scans that cause technical problems. Please see our Fair Use Policy.
- Functions for life: The Dynamic QR Code, with its redirection capability, will function for two years and will continue to function after that for as long as you pay a hosting fee for a further two years.
- FREE Unlimited redirection of the target URL: On initial purchase, you specify a target URL. You can REDIRECT the target URL as often as you wish via our portal.
- Tracking Reports: Need to see how often, time of day, most popular day and which country your QR codes are being scanned? Order a dynamic QR code, and we can supply TRACKING REPORTS.

QR Code Dynamic Hosting Renewal Fee
This is to pay the 2-yearly fee hosting fee for previously purchased dynamic QR code(s).
How to order:
- Work out how many dynamic QR codes you want to renew.
- Add that number to the cart.
- Go to checkout.
- In the ORDER NOTES box on the checkout page, enter the ID keyword for the dynamic QR code(s) you wish to renew.

Barcode Number & Product Registration
If you purchase registration you can add your barcode numbers and product/company details on the International Barcodes Database (information you submit to that database will be fed through to several other barcode databases as well).
Please put your barcode number (UPC, EAN or ISBN) into the “additional information” section of the checkout page. We will then email you to request proof of your barcode ownership. If we are satisfied that you are the legal owner of a legitimate barcode number we will activate it for registration on the International Barcodes Database. You will receive instructions for how to register.
Please note, ‘Barcode Registration’ is included in our UPC and EAN Barcode Packages already. You only need to purchase this item if you obtained your barcode from another company, or if you want to register an ISBN or ISSN number.

Our registration service adds this visibility for your products.
Our registration service registers the barcode number and product/manufacturer on the International Barcodes Database (https://barcodesdatabase.org/). This makes it easier for people to find your barcode number or product via internet searches and some smart phone barcode scanning apps. The internet search success depends on which search engine you are using, and how well that has been indexed on the internet. There are a lot of barcode scanning apps – and more being released regularly. The places they search varies from app to app. Some apps such as the Zebra Scanning App serach directly in databases and should find barcodes/products registered through our registration service.
Some apps assume the user is wanting to find the product for sale in an online shop in their vicinity – hence these apps will search in online stress nearby … so obviously they are more likely to find your product if it is for sale in online stores in that region. And some apps have other search algorithms which are hard to understand. Most apps change or update where they search regularly. So the results can change over time.Therefore the success of searching or scanning depends on which search engine or app you use, and how much information is available on the internet, including online stores.
The PWA (progressive web app) Zebra Barcode Scanner App finds the correct product details from barcodesdatabase org. It is free. Look it up on your smartphone and save it to your homescreen. You can use it to scan your barcodes.

V Business Card QR Codes
Please enter the information that you want to encode into the “additional information” section of the checkout page.
This can include name, job title, company name, 1 landline phone number, 1 mobile phone number, company address, email address and website url. Then you can insert the V Business card QR code onto your business card. Your clients can scan the V Business Card QR code with a smartphone and it will show the information encoded.
Please limit the amount of infomation encoded. Otherwise the QR code will have to be bigger.
The QR code images will be emailed to you in .tif, .bmp, .jpg, .pdf & .eps formats.
Please note, we make these manually so allow 2-24 hours to receive your V Business card. Please ensure the information is accurate as changes may incur extra time charges.

Business Cards (VCards)
These types of QR Codes are primarily used on business cards. When a business card QR Code is scanned by a smartphone, an individual’s business card details will appear on the Smartphone screen. The Smartphone user will then be able to save the individual as a ‘Contact’ on their phone.
